Let me tell you about why Botanic in Opelika is one of my new favorite locations to eat, shop, spend a little girl-time with my littles, and create beautiful images.
After you’ve booked your wedding with me, we’ll start planning an engagement session! Your engagement session is one of my absolute favorite parts of the wedding process! It’s an opportunity for me to get to know you, as well as a celebration of this season of life. Occasionally, my couples have a location in mind for their engagement session that is meaningful to them as a couple. But if you don’t have a personal location in mind, I always have ideas!
I thought it might be helpful to spotlight some of my favorite local locations in a series of blog posts over the next few months. One location stood out as the logical place to begin because it is one of my favorite places in Opelika!
If you live in Opelika and haven’t been to Botanic yet, you are missing out! My girls love to go and walk around, look at the flowers and plants in the greenhouse, or eat some yummy pastries on the patio while surrounded by all of this beauty! It is the best place around to slow down and take a moment to relax and enjoy the small things.
I was so excited when I found out that Botanic allows photographers to use the greenhouse and garden for portrait sessions. Of course I jumped at the first chance I had to pull these two “loves” together! And the results were breathtaking!
Grayson and Holt’s engagement session was the perfect opportunity to explore all of Botanic’s beauty with a gorgeous couple! The layers and colors of the garden and greenhouse are totally unmatched and a photographer’s dream! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to find beautiful places for portraits.
I cannot wait to explore this location with another couple! If you’re interested in having your engagement session here, I would absolutely love to make that happen! Even if you aren’t planning a portrait session soon, I would recommend checking out to Opelika’s Botanic. It is such a great place to spend an afternoon exploring, trying some sweet treats, or shopping for locally made art and gifts.
Thank you for reading! I hope I’ve inspired you to explore a local Opelika gem. If you’re planning a wedding, I want to invite you to read more about why an engagement session is such an important part of your wedding preparations!
