Family life moves quickly. One minute it feels like diapers and Cheerios are everywhere, and the next you are wondering when everyone got taller than you. I have searched over and over for the “pause” button while we’re living in the land of Legos and laughter, but I haven’t found one yet. What I have realized is that photos and videos from 10 and 20 years ago are becoming more and more precious to me. I’m sure the same is true for you. That’s where I come in.
It is my privilege to help families in Auburn and across Alabama create beautiful portraits they can enjoy, share, and treasure for years to come. From maternity sessions to milestone portraits and extended family sessions, I love to document your laughter, snuggles, and milestones so those memories always feel as alive as the day they happened.

With many years of photographing families in Alabama, I have learned how to guide parents and kids in a way that feels natural and easy. I help you every step of the way so you never wonder what to do, and the kids have space to warm up, play, and show their personalities. That blend of patience, direction, and genuine connection helps everyone feel comfortable, and that comfort always shows in the final gallery. The Experience
Relaxed sessions, real connection, portraits you’ll love
I don’t place a time limit on my regular portrait sessions because everyone settles in differently, and I want you to feel relaxed and confident, not rushed. I usually recommend planning for about 45 to 90 minutes. Little ones may need extra time to warm up, or they may burn out quickly, so having that flexibility helps everyone enjoy the experience more. During your session, I’ll spend time talking with you, guiding you through poses, and getting to know you so that being in front of the camera feels natural and comfortable. The warm up period can take 5 minutes or 20, so I've found that trying to price packages by time doesn't serve my clients well. I won't be watching the clock, and I don't want you to, either.
Every portrait session includes an online proofing gallery with around 75 to 100 lightly edited images. You’ll be able to view your collection at your own pace and choose the ones you love for full editing and retouching. This gives you complete control over your final gallery while allowing you to select only the images that feel meaningful to you.

All of my portrait collections include untimed sessions that give you space to relax and enjoy the experience, along with guidance on choosing the perfect location, wardrobe, and poses. You’ll also receive an online proofing gallery so you can select your favorite images for full editing and retouching. Whether you’re planning a maternity session, celebrating a milestone, or capturing a full family portrait, each collection is designed to make your session easy, fun, and completely stress free.
The Collections
First we’ll choose a date that works for you! I primarily book portrait sessions Monday through Friday because the weekends are reserved for weddings, family, and worship! I do occasionally have some weekend availability, so if a Saturday or Sunday work best for your family, just let me know and I'll make room in my calendar.
Booking
Portrait sessions can last anywhere from thirty to ninety minutes, depending on your family. Little ones may need extra time to warm up, or they may burn out quickly, and that is completely normal. I take the time to guide you through poses, encourage natural interaction, and help everyone feel relaxed and comfortable on camera. We go at your family’s pace so the session feels easy and enjoyable for everyone.
YOUR Session
Within a week of your session, you will receive an online gallery of around 75 lightly edited proofs. You can view the gallery at your own pace and select your favorites for full editing and retouching. Depending on your package, you will choose ten, twenty, or forty images to be perfected for your final gallery.

Just let me know how many people you plan to include. For extended families, I typically recommend booking a premium session so we have plenty of time to capture all the groupings and moments you want. I run these sessions like multiple mini sessions within one, photographing the full family together, each individual family, couples, kids, and even individual portraits of all the children. This approach ensures we capture the traditional multi-generational combinations while also giving every family their own special images. I guide everyone through poses and transitions so the session feels relaxed and enjoyable, and you leave with a full gallery of portraits to treasure.

I primarily work in the Auburn/Opelika and Phenix City/Columbus area, but I’m open to traveling! “Lite” sessions can only be booked within 50 miles of Salem, AL. Travel of over 150 miles round trip may incur additional fees. Just reach out to me and I’ll create a custom quote for you!
