Abigail and Christopher’s wedding celebration at The Farm at Lullwater was a day filled with family and lots of laughter. Although the two were already married, this day served as a beautiful celebration of their marriage, surrounded by loved ones.
The couple started the day getting ready with their little ones. While Abigail was finishing up hair and makeup, I photographed their gorgeous details. I just loved the floral accents and wax seals she used for their invitation suite! Her bouquet included a special heart-shaped charm in memory of her grandfather, ensuring his presence was felt throughout the day. One of my personal favorite details was Abigail’s shoes. She chose a pair for comfort and style, then jazzed them up by bedazzling the heels! We love a practical shoe, especially when you’re walking in grass!
After her mom and sisters helped her into her dress, Abigail shared a sweet first look with Christopher near the bridge on the property. This is one of the prettiest features of the Farm at Lullwater, and such a sweet spot for their first look! Next, we took a few minutes to do some wedding party portraits and then went inside to cool off. We were grateful for sunny skies, but August heat in Alabama is no joke! Then, just before the ceremony, we had time for one more first look. This was unplanned, but Abigail’s dad got his own special moment with the bride before he walked her down the aisle.
Though there was a chance of rain in the forecast, the skies remained clear and allowed the outdoor celebration to go forward without worry. Christopher’s two sons and the couple’s young daughter played important roles in the ceremony as ring bearers and flower girl. Watching their children walk down the aisle set the tone for a heartfelt and family-focused moment.
After the ceremony and a few more portraits, it was time to celebrate! Abigail and Christopher wowed everyone with a choreographed first dance. Traditional dances with their parents followed, which are always one of my favorite moments of the day. Later, the dance floor opened to the kids, whose energy and excitement quickly stole the spotlight. Their sons and nephews especially loved the camera, and Abigail’s grandmother even joined in the party dancing!
What stood out most about this day at The Farm at Lullwater was how relaxed and family-centered it was. Abigail and Christopher’s wedding wasn’t just about them; it was about blending their families, honoring their loved ones, and celebrating their story. It was a day full of laughter, dancing, and so much love.
